Laundry Day

What happens when a superhuman person has to take care of their laundry?

Laundry day is a short science-fiction story that revolves around Valerie Vega as she has to deal with what it means to be a hero, AND take care of normal responsibilities too. To me, what's most important about writing stories, no matter how fantastical or otherworldly their concepts seem, is the humanity of the characters. I love to write characters that have realistic goals set, or act realistically to something like waking up in the morning with a blaring alarm. Characters should feel like they can be someone we see out in the world, someone who is relatable and who's challenges can be felt. I love writing fiction because it allows for me to craft characters who I can relate to, even if they have superpowers.
